The Robert Koch Institute has qualified most countries, including those within Europe, as risk zones. The number of passengers both in Germany and in the world is decreasing again, and has not really stabilized. Airlines are forced to cancel flights again.

Ryanair announced a reduction in flights in the winter. Ryanair will likely operate almost 40 percent fewer flights from November to March than last winter. At the moment, it is expected that 60 percent of flights can be kept. Flights for October have already been cut by 40 percent.

The airline’s CEO, Michael O’Leary, expects no more than 38 million passengers will be carried in the current fiscal year, which runs through the end of March. If the EU countries introduce additional restrictions in the winter, this number of passengers may be further reduced. Ryanair and its subsidiaries such as Laudamotion carried nearly 149 million passengers last fiscal year.

O’Leary accused the governments of the European Union of creating unsatisfactory conditions in the provision of rules for air travel. He called on the governments of the countries to immediately implement the traffic light system, which has been adopted. Then people can clearly see the situation in Europe, and passengers, at least people from countries and regions with a small number of new infections, will be able to travel without hindrance.

Germany says this:

Germany: Residence ban will be in effect until at least November 8

Germany: German politician believes the situation is more serious than in the spring

Germany: Angela Merkel for introducing tougher restrictive measures

Germany: Prime ministers agree on curfew and tightening of mask regime
