President of the World Medical Association Frank Ulrich Montgomery called the Ethics Council’s recommendations on privileges for vaccinated residents of the country – “Cowardice and cowardice.”
“I think the Council lacks the courage to give basic rights back to people who have either already been ill and therefore immune or have been vaccinated in a socially solidarity manner,” Montgomery told Passauer Neue Presse. A prerequisite for the introduction of privileges is the fact that vaccination provides immunity, he added. “We need to free people from restrictions as soon as everyone in the country can get vaccinated.”
After the start of vaccination, a debate arose in society about whether the vaccinees should be exempted from restrictive measures. Someone thinks that it should, because this does not mean privilege, but rather the return of constitutional rights. Others argue that this should be introduced no earlier than the moment when all residents can be vaccinated. Still others argue that vaccination is a personal decision of everyone and no one can influence it. The German Ethics Council has criticized the possibility of granting special rights to those vaccinated.
