The coronavirus, in all likelihood, will occupy the residents of the country in the summer and force them to adjust their plans. In order to fight the pandemic, the international Ironman Hamburg competition has been postponed to a later date.

The organizers announced that triathlon fans will have to be patient. The 3.86 kilometer swim, the 180.2 kilometer bike race and the 42.2 kilometer marathon will take place on August 29, not June 6, as previously planned.

Last year, the competition was first postponed due to the coronavirus crisis and then canceled altogether. The organizers hope that the sluggish vaccination company will gain momentum by August and a sports festival will take place in Hamburg.
