The weekend was again sunny and warm, with a maximum temperature of almost 30 degrees. However, temperatures will drop sharply in the coming week. After a sunny Monday, it is hard to believe that rain, a sharp drop in temperature and even the first snow are expected in Germany this week. Cause – violent storm off the British Isles.
Indian summer will pamper residents of the country this week only until Tuesday. The mercury column will rise to 22 to 28 degrees. On the Rhine, even up to plus 30 degrees is expected.
However, from Wednesday, September 23rd, a cold front will reach Germany, then a hurricane. The temperature will drop sharply and autumn will come outside the window. The maximum temperature this and next weekend in some parts of the country will drop by 20 degrees. On Sunday next week the temperature is expected to be 5 to 12 degrees. So far, meteorologists are only talking about a likely trend. However, it clearly demonstrates the coming autumn, which practically brings winter with it.
Heavy rain is expected in the middle of next week. They are especially likely in the south of the country. A hurricane, or at least a violent storm, will hit the British Isles and bring cold air to Germany. Forecasters currently believe that a storm in Germany is unlikely. But strong winds are expected. In regions at 1,000 meters above sea level, such as the Black Forest, it will snow next – for the first time this year outside the Alps.
