A study by the British statistical agency ONS (Office for National Statistics) showed that the symptoms of the mutated coronavirus, detected for the first time in the UK, are somewhat different from the previously known variant.
Those infected more often complain of coughing, fatigue, body aches and sore throat. Loss of smell and taste, which is one of the main symptoms of coronavirus infection, is less common. Symptoms such as headaches, shortness of breath, diarrhea or vomiting are just as common in patients with both previously known and mutated coronavirus.
As part of the study, 6,000 randomly selected people were interviewed who tested positive for coronavirus.
