Another restriction has been introduced in Bavaria. Due to the pandemic crisis, almost all indoor sports facilities are being closed in the federal state from today. Thus, only schoolchildren and professional athletes are allowed to play sports in gyms in Bavaria.

“The federal state government has made a decision that Bavaria would have proposed anyway at the next conference of prime ministers and federal governments, scheduled for next Monday,” said State Secretary of Health Klaus Cholezek.

The order was introduced on the basis of the decision of the Bavarian Administrative Court (BayVGH). Individual sports such as tennis were allowed. The court found this practice unequal in relation to fitness studios and canceled their closure. What was announced on Thursday. Thus, the court partially satisfied the urgent petition of the owner of the fitness studio. However, the government decided not to open fitness studios and also to close all gyms. Including for individual sports.

Whether this decision, which is planned for discussion at a conference with Angela Merkel, will be made by other federal states, will be decided on Monday.
