The Federal Security Service (FSB) detained 16 members of the MKU community of Ukrainian radicals in nine Russian cities. This was announced on Thursday, April 29, at the Department’s Public Relations Center.

“The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation in cooperation with the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the cities of Irkutsk, Krasnodar, Saratov, Tambov, Tyumen, Chita, Anapa, Krasnodar Territory, Pushchino, Moscow Region, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Yaroslavl Region, detained 16 supporters of the Ukrainian youth radical community“ M. K.U. “, involved in the commission of violent crimes, propaganda of extremism, as well as the preparation of the bombing of administrative buildings of government bodies and armed attacks on citizens,” the message says.

According to the intelligence service, the leader of the organization, Yegor Krasnov, coordinated the criminal activities of the detainees from the territory of Ukraine, and also urged them to commit terrorist acts.

“The involvement of new members in criminal activities was carried out in stages. At first, they were asked to put extremist inscriptions on the facades of buildings, then beat the homeless person, and later – to attack law enforcement officers, ”the FSB stressed.

According to the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia, Krasnov, through correspondence on social networks, persuaded Russian Alexei Narzyaev to commit two murders on extremist grounds. Taking into account Narzyaev’s mental illness, in January of this year, the Moscow Regional Court issued a ruling applying compulsory medical measures to him.

The newspaper Gazeta.Ru noted that during the searches the detainees were found with edged weapons, information about committed and planned terrorist crimes and extremist attributes.

As part of the initiated criminal cases, operational-search measures and investigative actions are being carried out aimed at opening all episodes of their illegal activities, the department concluded.

On March 19, in Gelendzhik and Yaroslavl, 14 members of the Ukrainian radical community “MKU” were detained. It is noted that Nazi materials, weapons and instructions for the manufacture of explosive devices were seized from them.
