The Autonomy Election Commission lacks four members out of nine required by law. Three must be nominated from the People’s Assembly and one from the judiciary. “If the deputies support the nominated candidates, the new members will take the oath, and I will sign the regulation on the approval of the new composition of the commission. Subsequently, the CEC members can gather for a meeting to elect the governing bodies and begin preparations for the organization of elections to the People’s Assembly of Gagauzia. If it doesn’t work out, we will have to postpone the date of the elections, ”said Vladimir Kyssa, chairman of the Autonomy’s People’s Assembly.
