Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, commented on reports that he was charged with high treason because of the “Kharkov agreements” signed in 2010.

According to him, he learned from the media that he was handed a corresponding suspicion. Azarov added that he would not “humiliate himself” and testify – this would be done by lawyers.

“These sanctions are absolutely groundless, they are unconstitutional and unlawful,” he said on the air of the Nash TV channel.

The ex-prime minister also said that no one forced him to sign this document. He called such reports “complete lies.”

“This government has surpassed Poroshenko in the degree of its nonsense, in the degree of communicating absolutely unreliable information to the public. Nobody imposed anything on anyone,” Azarov added.
