Former director of the department of architecture and urban planning of the Sochi administration, Sergei Dobromyslov, suspected of receiving a multimillion-dollar bribe, was taken into custody. This was announced on Sunday, May 2, at the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region.
“In relation to the former director of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Sochi Administration and his 50-year-old acquaintance, the court has chosen measures of restraint in the form of detention. Depending on the role of each, the men were charged with accepting a bribe on an especially large scale (part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and mediation in bribery (part 4 of Article 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), ”the message says.
According to the investigation, the ex-official promised to speed up the issuance of permits for the construction of an apartment complex for a bribe in the amount of 75 million rubles, an acquaintance of the former director of the department of architecture was an intermediary.
It is noted that in case of refusal to bribe the head of the construction organization, they promised to create conditions under which the construction of the complex would become impossible. Dobromyslov was given a part of the required amount in the amount of 20 million rubles, after which the actions of the attackers were suppressed by law enforcement officers, the Investigative Committee reported.
“In the criminal case, a complex of investigative actions aimed at collecting and consolidating the evidence base continues,” the department concluded.
Earlier that day, the deputy head of the Internal Security Directorate (IDS) of the Main Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service (GUFSIN) in the Irkutsk Region was arrested for accepting a bribe. According to the investigation, in the spring of 2021, the defendant received, through an intermediary, part of the funds in the amount of 10 million rubles in exchange for the fact that he would stop carrying out operational-search activities in relation to a number of heads of commercial organizations. In total, the arrested person was supposed to receive 60 million rubles, noted in the RF IC.
