Rospotrebnadzor of the Tula Region for the 1st quarter of 2021 reviewed 2,253 citizens’ appeals on consumer protection issues. Of these, 973 are written and 1280 are oral.

More than 60% of written complaints were about retail issues. Residents of the region reported a failure to provide reliable information about the product, price discrepancies on price tags and when paying at the checkout, violation of the delivery time of goods when buying via the Internet.

In the service sector, the majority of complaints related to housing and communal services.

Among the oral communications, 55% related to retail trade, 12% – consumer services, 5.7% – housing and communal services, 4% – financial services, 3.9% – communication services.

The residents of the region who applied were explained.
