The Federal Biomedical Agency (FMBA) of Russia has developed a “calculator” that allows in the early days of coronavirus infection to predict the severity of the disease with an accuracy of more than 90%. This was announced on Wednesday, March 3, by the head of the agency Veronika Skvortsova.

“Now FMBA has developed a predictive” calculator “based on machine learning, which allows in the first days of the disease, when everything is still good in a person, with a very high degree of reliability – over 90% – to predict that at the end of the first week he will get seriously ill”, – she said on the air of the TV channel “Russia 24”.

It is expected that such a “calculator” will appear in the public domain in a week.

The day before, Skvortsova reported that Russian test systems for determining coronavirus work with any strain.

She noted that in total, about 3.5 thousand coronavirus mutations were detected in Russian citizens. All of them were neutral, single nucleotide and did not matter for the course of the disease.

Over the past day, 10,535 new cases of coronavirus infection were recorded in Russia. In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,278,750 cases of coronavirus have been identified in the country, 87,348 people have died, 3,853,734 have recovered.

All relevant information on the situation with the coronavirus is available on the websites of stopcoronavirus.rf and access vsem.rf, as well as by the hashtag #WeVotte. Coronavirus hotline: 8-800-2000-112.
