The region’s road inspectors organized a complex of information and propaganda events “It won’t work without you”, timed to coincide with the Day of the Motorist.
In the Kostroma region, 502 road accidents were registered, more than 90% of which were caused by vehicle drivers who violated road safety rules: in 470 road accidents 28 people died, 628 were injured. As a result of violations of cars and motorists, pedestrians, passengers, including children, were injured.
That is why the road police, within the framework of outreach activities, made an appeal for strict observance of traffic rules: “Drivers, keep the roads safe in the region” It will not work without you! “
In Kadi, the traffic police together with activists of the public association “Workshop of Miracles” on the central streets handed the drivers thematic memos, reminded them of the observance of the traffic rules, and also offered to sign the “Declaration of road safety”. The drivers who took part in the action promised to always put observance of road rules above all else, to treat other participants with respect, to be responsible for their passengers.
In the Kostroma region, together with the car inspectors, volunteers of the youth organization “Perspektiva” and the ombudsman for the rights of the child under the administration of the Kostroma municipal region took part in the event. The organizers of the action congratulated the motorists on the holiday and reminded them about ensuring the safety of pedestrian traffic participants, the rules for maneuvering in adverse weather conditions and the correct choice of the speed limit in conditions of insufficient visibility on the roadway, and also presented thematic reminders.
In Volgorechensk and Nerekhta, the auto police conducted video lectures with the drivers of large enterprises and organizations, on the eve of school holidays, paying special attention to ensuring the safety of children.
In Krasnoe-on-Volga, representatives of the “silver” volunteers, employees of the district administration, and the road safety commission became the participants of the action along with the traffic police. The organizers of the event focused their efforts on drivers whose driving experience is less than two years: they presented novice motorists with written advice given by experienced motorists during the event: compliance with speed limits, distance, use of seat belts, refusal to drink alcohol before the trip, do not rush, let pedestrians pass, be always attentive, observe traffic rules and respect other road users
