Evan Rachel Wood said she had been abused by Marilyn Manson for several years, writes Variety.
Singer, actress and activist Evan Rachel Wood is best known for her films The Wrestler, Whatever Happen, and The Ides of March. In 2007, when the girl was only 19, her relationship with the famous provocateur of the pop scene Marilyn Manson became public. Manson was then 38 years old. Their short-lived relationship ended in 2010. Eleven years later, Wood said in an interview that Manson persuaded her to have sexual intercourse while she was still a teenager, and later physically abused her, threatened and blackmailed her. Wood said that she finally decided to reveal the details of her uneasy relationship with the singer so that he could not destroy even more lives. Manson has denied any violent action against Wood.
