“The past blizzard also had a positive effect on air quality – a powerful cyclone, expressed in strong gusty winds and heavy snowfall, due to which the concentration of pollutants has significantly decreased,” the city news agency “Moscow” quotes the message.
The press service clarified that the average daily concentration of nitrogen dioxide decreased 2.1 times, nitrogen oxide – 3.5 times, suspended solids PM10 – three times, PM2.5 – 2.5 times.
