The founder of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk, said on March 2 in his Twitterthat creates a new city in Texas.
“I’m creating the city of Starbase, Texas,” wrote an American entrepreneur.
As Bloomberg clarifies, we are talking about renaming the area in Texas, which includes the settlement of Boca Chica, where the SpaceX cosmodrome is located and the Starship SN8 long-range rocket is being tested.
At the same time, last week, Cameron County Judge Eddie Trevino, who, according to local law, must give approval for the renaming, said that a request from the company has not yet been received, and there has been no discussion of the alleged names.
Last December, Elon Musk announced his move from Silicon Valley to Texas. He criticized California’s coronavirus pandemic restrictions and highlighted his intention to ramp up operations in Texas.
According to CNBC, California has the highest income tax rate among the US states, and Texas has zero tax rate, so the move could save Musk literally “billions of dollars.”
