Scars on the palms may be one of the first symptoms of cancer, writes Express, citing data from oncologists.

So, about 90% of cases of scarring of the palms are associated with internal malignant neoplasms. It is noted that this is a rather rare manifestation that often occurs before cancer is diagnosed.

The presence of scars with black acanthosis is a signal of parillary-pigmentary dystrophy of the skin. According to this symptom, the diagnosis of “stomach cancer” is made in 35% of cases, and “lung cancer” – in 11%.

In cases where the tissue changes without pigmentation, doctors often find lung cancer. Moreover, scars can serve as a signal of malignant formations on the head or urinary tract.

In this regard, doctors recommend not to ignore changes in the skin of the hands and palms and refer to specialists.

Earlier, experts warned that excessive sweating could be a sign of cancer.

If sweat begins to soak through the entire clothing and drain from the fingertips, this indicates a pathology called hyperhidrosis. It can be a symptom of a number of diseases such as lymphoma, carcinoid tumors, leukemia, mesothelioma, bone cancer and liver cancer.
