The court ruled on the death of an 11-year-old boy on a playground in Astrakhan. The directors of the management company (MC) responsible for the territory were found guilty, according to the ICR SU in the region.
It was established that the director of the Criminal Code knew about the emergency state of the concrete structure in the form of a “Swedish wall” located on the playground at 29k1 Yablochkova Street, but no measures were taken, writes “Astrakhan-24”.
As a result of criminal inaction, on August 5, 2020, a concrete slab with a ladder, on which three children were playing, collapsed. Two children received bruises and abrasions, and an 11-year-old boy was crushed to death.
The Leninsky District Court of the city found the woman guilty under Part 2 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Performance of work and provision of services that do not meet safety requirements, resulting in the death of a person by negligence.” She was sentenced to imprisonment for a period of 2 years and 6 months, serving in a general regime colony.
The court also satisfied the claim of the victims in the amount of 2, 593 million rubles.
At the end of last year, the TFR opened a criminal case into the death of an 11-year-old girl when she fell into a sewer well in Astrakhan. The main suspect is the head of the sewerage network of the Trusovsky district of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise “Astrvodokanal”.
