Russians consider residents of neighboring districts to be the most reliable sellers and buyers. This was found out by the ad service “Yula” together with the research agency ResearchMe, the results of the study “Izvestia” were reviewed on September 14.
As shown by a survey of 2,050 respondents from all over Russia, a third of them pay attention when buying goods to the seller’s place of residence, and the most reliable participants in a possible transaction are residents of their districts.
“Most often, when buying goods and services on ad services, Russians pay attention to the price (68%), the presence of photographs of the product from several angles (55%) and a detailed description (36%),” – said in a press release received in ” News”.
Least of all, buyers study the number of views or adding products to favorites (5%), the presence of an avatar of the seller (6%) and whether the user is online (3%).
Advertisements placed next to users’ location inspire confidence in 32% of respondents, while this factor is more important for women. Female representatives are also looked at reviews more often than men.
92% of respondents consider people from their area or district to be reliable sellers and buyers. But only 42% of respondents are ready to trust users from another city.
Close to the place of residence, users are looking for goods for home and summer cottages, household appliances, baby products, handmade, as well as building materials and tools.
Users of the service are ready to consider offers for the sale of cars, photo and video cameras, as well as spare parts and auto goods within a radius of more than 200 km.
Chatting has been identified as the most popular seller verification method when shopping on classified ads. 48% of respondents indicated that they write to the chat to find out additional information about the product. 41% of respondents call sellers, and every eighth Russian uses video calls to make sure that the product description is true.
