After the suspension of flights with Turkey, the Russians switched to other foreign destinations, analysts from Tutu.ru found out.
During the week from 6 to 13 April, interest in Russian resorts has grown. The number of requests for tickets to Simferopol increased by 27%, in Sochi – by 30%, to Anapa, Gelendzhik and Min. Water – by 31%. This may be due to the approaching tourist season.
At the same time, tickets to Montenegro began to be looked for 100% more often, to Greece – by 93%, to Egypt – by 84%, to Cyprus – by 82%. Demand for Israeli destinations has shown impressive growth. Against the background of news about the opening of Israel’s borders, it increased by 212%.
We will remind, on April 12, the Russian government announced the restriction of air traffic with Turkey and Tanzania until June 1. The measures were taken due to the worsening situation with the coronavirus in these countries. Before the suspension of flights to the Turkish direction, every fifth purchased air ticket accounted for.
