The World Court in Chita appointed a teenager who, in the summer of 2020, published a video in which he lights a cigarette from a candle in a temple, 120 hours of compulsory work. On Tuesday, March 9, TASS was told about this by Victoria Mikhailyuk, press secretary of the Trans-Baikal Regional Court.

According to her, the underage teenager admitted his guilt, repented of his deed and apologized to the parishioners, writes NSN.

The incident occurred in July 2020, a video appeared on the network, in which two young people enter the Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in Chita, and one of them lights a cigarette from a church candle. Later, the hero of the video published another video in which he apologized for his act, writes the “Federal News Agency”.

Metropolitan Dimitri of Chita and Petrovsk-Zabaikalsk said that he was ready to meet and calmly talk with young people and their parents without any proceedings, the website kp.ru writes.

Child psychologist Natalya Naumova believes that the teenager had no desire to commit the condemned action, he just wanted to earn the approval of his company and gain the respect of his friends, writes Ridus.
