Russian boxer Fyodor Chudinov commented on his fight with British Umar Sadik, in which he won. The fight took place on the evening of September 11 as part of the REN TV Fight Club tournament at the Khimki basketball arena.
According to the Russian, he did not expect to finish the fight ahead of schedule.
“I really liked the fight … I was a little worried: he seemed to be standing, and then the problems began. But, thank God, everything worked out. I am completely satisfied, ”Chudinov said.
Chudinov defeated Sadik by technical knockout and defended the World Boxing Association (WBA) Gold middleweight title.
The beginning of the battle remained with the British, but then Chudinov managed to level the situation. In a 12-round fight, which was difficult for both athletes, the Russian turned out to be stronger. The fight was stopped in the last round.
32-year-old Chudinov won the 23rd victory (15 by KO). The Russian’s track record also includes two defeats. 32-year-old Sadik spent 12 fights in his professional career, he has 10 wins (6 by knockout) and two defeats.
