China has temporarily suspended entry from Russia on visas and residence permits (residence permits). This was announced on Thursday, November 5, by the Chinese Embassy in Moscow.
As explained in the diplomatic mission, such a measure is introduced “in connection with the epidemic situation.”
It is noted that the Chinese embassy and consulates will not issue “health statements” to persons with valid Chinese visas and residence permits.
The embassy clarified that these measures will not affect persons with diplomatic, service, courtesy visas and category C visas, Gazeta.Ru writes.
In cases where foreigners need to urgently travel to China, you can apply for visas at the PRC Embassy in the Russian Federation. Entry into China with visas issued after November 3 is permitted.
The embassy emphasizes that these are temporary measures that the Chinese side is forced to take to respond to the current epidemic situation.
On October 31, it became known that the Chinese authorities suspended for a month the flight of the Chinese airline Air China on the Moscow-Shijiazhuang route after the discovery of passengers with coronavirus on board.
