A resident of Segezha found someone else’s bank card on the street and could not resist the temptation. What this led to, was reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Karelia.

The 28-year-old Segezhanin reported the theft to the police. It turned out that unknown persons had stolen several thousand rubles from the young man’s account – he learned about the loss of money from SMS notifications. The man suggested that he had dropped a bank card on the street and someone took advantage of it.

Employees of the criminal investigation department managed to find out that a 42-year-old city woman was involved in the crime. The woman confessed that, having found someone else’s bank card on the street, she immediately went shopping: she bought alcohol and food with someone else’s money.

A criminal case was initiated. For this crime, a Segezhan woman can be imprisoned for up to 6 years.
