CEC of Belarus: Lukashenka leads the presidential elections

According to the chairman of the Central Election Commission of Belarus Lidia Yermoshina, the current head of state, Alexander Lukashenko, is leading the presidential elections.

She noted that data continues to flow from across the country. At the moment it is known that in the Brest region 79.69% of voters voted for Lukashenka (for Tikhanovskaya – 3.8%), in the Gomel region 90% of the voters voted for Lukashenko (for Tikhanovskaya – 3.2%); in the Grodno region – for Lukashenko – 92.7% (for Tikhanovskaya – 3.89), in the Mogilev region – for Lukashenko – 93.8%.

The first results for all districts and regions of the republic are possible by 02:00. “We hope that by two o’clock in the morning we will receive preliminary results for the country,” she said.
