Joe Biden was on the threshold of the White House at 77 on Friday after taking the lead in the vote count in key Pennsylvania state, but Donald Trump seemed determined to challenge the verdict at the ballot box. No winner has yet been declared.
- Listen to journalist Alexandre Dubé with Benoit Dutrizac on QUB radio:
“The Americans will decide the outcome of this election,” a spokesman for Joe Biden, Andrew Bates, hammered on Friday. “And the American authorities are perfectly capable of expelling the intruders from the White House,” he added.
In a recount that is advancing in dribbles, the trend was reversed early in the morning: led since Tuesday’s poll in Pennsylvania, the former Democratic vice-president is now ahead of the Republican president by a short lead.
- Listen to international political columnist Loïc Tassé with Benoit Dutrizac on QUB radio:
If the former vice president of Barack Obama wins in Pennsylvania, he will become the 46e President of the United States on January 20, regardless of the outcome of the count in other states.
Donald Trump shouted, Thursday, again fraud, without adding new elements.
