The Belarusian police published a video showing the pursuit of a woman behind the wheel of a car, who told on social networks that she was beaten by security forces and threatened with weapons. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

The woman reported that she refused to get out of the car, after which the traffic police officer began to beat him with a weapon, and when the car was stopped, the woman’s husband was pulled out of him and beaten.

“Tonight, some internet resources published information that a journalist was detained in Minsk. In fact, there were no “pistols” and “they were beaten”, ”writes the press secretary of the Belarusian Interior Ministry Olga Chemodanova in her Telegram channel.

In the attached video from the recorder of the traffic police car, the stopped car starts abruptly, and the traffic policeman manages to pull out his hand, squeezed by glass. This is followed by a short chase, on which the video ends, the moment of detention of the driver and passenger did not fall on him.

Chemodanova added that the driver and passenger of the car were taken to the police station for investigation.

“The woman was brought to administrative responsibility for failure to comply with the requirement to stop the car,” wrote a press secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In social networks, this episode was described as the detention of a journalist with a weapon.

Earlier on Wednesday it was reported that in Brest, the police opened fire on protesters who attacked them with rebar.
