In Gorno-Altaysk, a four-month-old child died from alcohol poisoning in his mother’s milk. This was reported in the press service of the regional investigation department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
The incident took place on January 11. According to investigators, the 32-year-old mother of the child celebrated her birthday and drank alcohol. After the feast was over, she went to bed with her young son.
“The woman, being in a state of alcoholic intoxication, knowing for certain that her breast milk contains alcohol that is dangerous to the life and health of the baby, on the night of January 11-12, 2021, through breastfeeding, twice fed a 4-month-old baby with milk, which led to fatal poisoning of a baby, ”the department said on Monday, February 15.
On this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Art. 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Causing death by negligence”. Investigators establish all the circumstances of the incident, as well as find out the conditions for raising young children in the family of the deceased baby.
In November last year, in Ivanteevka near Moscow, a two-year-old boy died in intensive care after drinking an acetic acid solution.
