Rospotrebnadzor, following the results of inspections, fined some stores of the Auchan hypermarket chain in Moscow for 1.55 million rubles for inaccurate declaration of food products. This was reported on the website of the department’s administration in the capital on Monday, September 28.
A total of nine decisions on administrative offenses were passed on the imposition of fines under Part 2 of Art. 14.43, part 1 of Art. 14.44 Administrative Code of the Russian Federation.
From May 14 to June 25, 2019, the department of Rospotrebnadzor in Moscow carried out a scheduled on-site inspection of LLC Ashan.
“During the audit, violations of the legislation in the field of technical regulation were revealed, associated with inaccurate declaration of food products (bakery and culinary products, salads, snacks) manufactured and sold in hypermarkets of AUCHAN LLC for the population,” the message says.
Based on the results of the inspection of the trading network, instructions were issued to eliminate violations of the requirements of technical regulations and to terminate nine declarations of conformity.
The company did not agree with this decision and appealed against it. The litigation lasted a year in three courts. Based on the results of consideration of the cassation complaints, the Arbitration Court of the Moscow District recognized the instructions of Rospotrebnadzor as legal and reasonable.
“Nine declarations have been terminated,” the message says.
In September 2015, Rospotrebnadzor fined Auchan in Moscow 25 million rubles. In that year, Rosselkhoznadzor and Rosportrebnadzor have been checking the distribution network since July. During the inspections, violations of phytosanitary standards, product storage standards and inconsistencies with the declared composition of meat products were found.
