Galina Aleinikova, chief accountant of Torex LLC, was arrested as part of the investigation of a criminal case on fraud with funds of the Amurstal plant. This was announced on December 11 by the Izvestia correspondent.

The court arrested the defendant for two months. Thus, the petition of the investigation for the measure of restraint of Aleinikova was satisfied.

The day before she was charged with a crime under Part 1 of Art. 30, part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Preparation for fraud committed on an especially large scale”). The investigation also detained five accomplices in the crime.

According to the investigation, the chief accountant and his accomplices were preparing to steal funds from OOO Torex-Khabarovsk in the amount of more than 305 million rubles through the creation of non-existent accounts payable, appealing to the Arbitration Court of the Khabarovsk Territory with a statement of claim for its recovery and fictitious documents.

The fraud was stopped by law enforcement officers.

Aleinikova was featured in the press as the “black accountant” of the former governor of the Khabarovsk Territory, Sergei Furgal, who was arrested in July on charges of contract killings of competitors. His ex-wife still owns 25% of the plant. Another 25% belonged to Nikolai Mistryukov, Furgal’s closest business partner, who is in jail.

Pavel Balsky, who previously owned 50% of the company’s shares, acquired 25% of the company, which had previously belonged to Mistryukov.

In July it became known that a criminal case was opened against the ex-management of Amurstal – the former general director of the enterprise Sergei Kuznetsov and the deputy director for security Dmitry Kozlov. They were suspected of illegally withdrawing funds from the enterprise.

Among other things, people from Furgal’s entourage were detained – businessman Nikolai Shukhov, who was involved in the activities of Torex, and General Director of Far Eastern Monolith LLC Evgeny Averyanov, REN TV writes.

The Torex-Khabarovsk company became the owner of the Amurstal plant, previously named Amurmetal and located in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, in 2017.

In September, the plant began to lay off employees. At the same time, Amurstal employees began to fear mass layoffs as early as August 10. The management explained the requests to write resignation letters by allegedly changing the legal entity and promised to immediately employ all those who quit in the new company. In this regard, the prosecutor’s office of the Khabarovsk Territory began an inspection.
