In the Moscow region this year, 79 sections of regional roads, selected by residents during a vote on the Dobrodel portal, were put in order. This is reported by the regional Ministry of Construction.
“In the Moscow region, the coverage was renewed on 79 sections of regional roads, which is about 90% of the total road repair plan based on the results of voting on the Dobrodel portal,” the Internet portal “Moscow Region Today” quotes the head of the Ministry of Construction Alexei Gerzhik.
According to the ministry, the total length of the tidied roads has exceeded 260 km. In total, 89 regional roads with a total length of 350 km are to be repaired in 2020 at the choice of residents of the region.
On June 1, it was reported that in the Moscow region in 2020 it is planned to put in order more than 1.7 thousand sections of motor roads with a length of more than 2 thousand km.
In addition, over 80 thousand reflectors are to be installed on the roads of the region this year. They were installed for the first time both along axial and edge markings.
Reflectors create vibration and noise when vehicles hit a solid line. This, in turn, reduces the likelihood of driving into an oncoming lane and leaving the road to the side. In particular, objects help to avoid head-on collisions.
