The unique design kimonos were made at a sewing factory in Ivanovo in honor of the birthday of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Igor Filippov, deputy director of the production of clothes for Leon Osodezhda, told Izvestia about this on Wednesday, October 7.

According to him, the Russian flag is embroidered on the lapel of the traditional kimono, the inscription “First” on the back of the product, and the Putin Team on the black belt.

“They sent the first kimono made to the president by mail, and everyone who wants to can order a tracksuit on the official website,” Filippov said.

The interlocutor of the publication said that the factory was founded in 2007 and is one of the leading companies in the production of workwear in Ivanovo. It employs “competent highly qualified personnel”, only 25 employees.

“Thanks to the support and attention to people, as well as to small and medium-sized businesses on the part of our president during the coronavirus pandemic, we received gratuitous financial assistance and a preferential loan to pay salaries to our employees. Vladimir Vladimirovich is an experienced and highly effective person who helped all of us in this difficult time. That is why we decided to release and give him a unique kimono, ”Filippov said.

On October 7, Putin turned 68 years old. On the eve of the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that on his birthday the Russian leader will devote the first half of the day to work on the domestic agenda and international telephone conversations. There are about ten planned.

The president himself said that his birthday is not a national holiday, and it is immodest to exaggerate the significance of this day. He expressed the opinion that, regardless of his official position, a person should spend his birthday “in the circle of his friends, his relatives.”
