Charter passenger flights from Moscow and St. Petersburg to the cities of the United Arab Emirates may be canceled from March 28 due to disagreements between the UAE and Russian aviation authorities. About this on Saturday, March 27, writes TASS, citing a source close to the commercial department of one of the Russian airlines.

According to him, Moscow and Abu Dhabi have not yet issued permits for carrying out passenger-and-freight flights between the countries in the summer season of flights, which is to begin on March 28.

At the same time, the airline has already notified its customers by e-mail that “significant changes are possible in the DP888 Dubai-Moscow flight schedule on March 28, 2021”. As the interlocutor of the agency clarified, the cancellation may affect flights for which up to 50 thousand tickets have been booked.

Flights with the UAE were resumed in September 2020. In addition to regular flights, there are also passenger-and-freight flights, which, in addition to cargo, can also carry passengers who are allowed to enter the host country.

From April 1, Russia will resume regular passenger flights with Venezuela, Syria, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Germany and Sri Lanka.

Regular and charter flights were suspended by Russia in March 2020 due to the situation caused by the spread of the coronavirus in the world. Then, gradually, restrictions on air traffic with a number of countries were lifted.
