The agency added that the details are unknown, but the terrorist group Al-Shabaab (banned in the Russian Federation), which is fighting the central government of Somalia, is often behind the bombing.
A similar incident occurred in the country at the end of December. A car bomb exploded on a busy street in the Somali capital, Mogadishu. The attack killed 90 people, including 17 Somali police officers and 73 civilians. According to the mayor of the city, Omar Filish, students of Benadir University are among the dead.
