The Investigation Department of the OMVD of Russia for the Petushinsky District has completed the investigation of a criminal case against a 30-year-old local resident, who is accused of fraud with causing significant damage to a citizen.
The woman, for a monetary reward, offered a foreign citizen assistance in drawing up a package of documents that confirm the legality of his stay on the territory of the Russian Federation. She promised to help get a driver’s license and register the car.
Having met in person with the foreigner, the accused told him that she was an employee of the special organization and was now on maternity leave, but she could still help him.
The victim transferred 95,000 rubles to the attacker as payment for her services. Taking the money, the woman, under various pretexts, began to refuse to fulfill her promises. The man went to the police.
The detainee said that from the very beginning she was not going to help, and the fact that she works in an organization dealing with paperwork was a lie.
The case was transferred to the court for consideration on the merits.
