A criminal case was opened after an accident in the Khabarovsk Territory

In the Khabarovsk Territory, after an accident with a bus, a criminal case was initiated on the provision of services that did not meet safety requirements. This was reported on May 1 in the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

The bus driver was also detained. With regard to him, the question of a measure of restraint in the form of detention is now being resolved. In the transport company that provided passenger services, a search is carried out, the necessary documentation is seized, the management and employees of the enterprise are interrogated.

“The investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Khabarovsk Territory and the Jewish Autonomous Region have opened a criminal case on the grounds of the corpus delicti under Part 5 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Violation of traffic rules, resulting in the death of two or more persons by negligence”), part 3 of Art. 238 of the RF Criminal Code (“Provision of services that do not meet the requirements of the safety of life and health of consumers, resulting in the death of two or more persons by negligence”), ”the RF IC reported.

The accident occurred on the night of May 1, local time, at the 370th km of the A-376 Lidoga-Vanino federal highway.

According to the traffic police of the Khabarovsk Territory, girls aged 17 and 21, as well as a woman born in 1973, died.

Three people with the most severe injuries were taken to the second regional clinical hospital in Khabarovsk. One victim is in serious condition, she is currently in the intensive care unit of the Vanino Central District Hospital. In total, ten people were injured in the accident, including a child 5-6 years old.

According to the acting head of the region, Mikhail Dyagtyarev, the families of those killed in an accident with a bus in the Khabarovsk Territory will be paid 1 million rubles each, the victims – from 200 to 400 thousand rubles.
