Investigators have opened a criminal case after the death and injury of tourists at a ski resort in Norilsk, according to the website of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Khakassia on Saturday, January 9.

On Saturday, at about 00:30 (20:30 Moscow time), the department received a message about an avalanche in the area of ​​the Otdelnaya Mountain ski complex in the Norilsk region, as a result of which there were 4 houses under the snow, in which there were people.

During the search operations, a 14-year-old teenager was found alive, who was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Rescuers later found the body of a 38-year-old woman. At the moment, the search continues for a one-year-old child and a 45-year-old man.

“A criminal case has been initiated on the basis of a crime under paragraph“ c ”part 2 of Art. 238 of the RF Criminal Code (provision of services that do not meet safety requirements), ”it was reported.

According to the REN TV channel, the wife of businessman Vladimir Popov, who is engaged in construction and supply of finishing materials, is the deceased. It is known that the Popovs and their two sons were under the snow.
