Investigative bodies of the Moscow Interregional Investigation Department on Transport of the RF IC have initiated a criminal case into the crash in the Kaluga Region on Sunday, August 9, of a light-engine aircraft. The pilot of the vessel was killed, the press service of the department reports.
“A criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation” Violation of the Aircraft Traffic Safety Rules, “the press service said.
According to preliminary data, at 14:30 Moscow time, the pilot was performing aerobatics “Barrel”, lost control and crashed.
Currently, investigators are examining the meta of the incident. A criminal investigation is underway.
As previously reported, the plane was supposed to land on the runway of the Kudinovo airfield in the Maloyaroslavets district. The aircraft crashed onto the landing pad. The vessel is single-engine, double.
