The head physician of the Moscow city hospital and TV presenter Alexander Myasnikov said that oncology may have atypical and implicit symptoms that should be paid attention to.
According to the doctor, the formation of blood clots may indicate the presence of pathological processes in the body. If thrombus formation is detected, a complete examination should be performed to establish the cause.
Other possible factors besides cancer, he named taking hormonal drugs, undergoing hip surgery, and if “you are a heavy smoker.” Blood clots can also appear from long flights and long driving.
The physician noted that the establishment of the cause of thrombus formation can reduce the duration of taking blood-thinning drugs even up to three months. Otherwise, doctors may prescribe a life-long course of treatment, Myasnikov added.
