The head of state held a meeting with Vladimir Golovatyuk, parliamentary deputy, chairman of the Commission on Economy, Budget and Finance. Igor Dodon thanked the deputy for his great work in the legislative body and wished him success in his new position as head of the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Moldova in the Russian Federation.
“Mr. Golovatyuk is a professional, and I am convinced that as an Ambassador he will contribute to the expansion and deepening of relations between the Republic of Moldova and the Russian Federation in the interests of the state and citizens of our country,” Igor Dodon wrote on his page on the social network.
Attending the meeting, Foreign and European Integration Minister Aureliu Chocoy announced the completion of the negotiation process on the draft Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the Russian Federation on social security. The project, which has been actively discussed recently, provides for the payment of old-age pensions, disability pensions resulting from general illnesses, accidents at work or occupational diseases, as well as survivors’ pensions and death benefits, etc. Our fellow citizens have been waiting for this document for a long time.
President Igor Dodon promised that the Agreement will be signed in the near future, which will lead to the strengthening of the social protection of Moldovans in the Russian Federation.
