President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on November 23 that he had recovered from COVID-19 and returned to work as usual. He told about this in the Telegram channel.
“The mood is vigorous, the temperature is 36.6. I myself am positive because the test is negative. I am on Bankova Street (the office of the Ukrainian President is located on this street – editor’s note), we are working, ”Zelensky said in a video message posted on the Telegram channel.
On November 9, Zelensky announced that he fell ill with COVID-19. Also, the head of the president’s office, Andriy Yermak, received a positive test for coronavirus. On November 12, the Ukrainian leader was taken to the Feofaniya hospital in Kiev. According to Zelensky’s administration, he was in an isolated ward, where special communications were established.
On October 3, Zelensky’s predecessor as president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko was hospitalized with coronavirus. By now, the politician has recovered.
The spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes the COVID-19 disease, began at the end of December last year. The Chinese city of Wuhan became the hotbed of infection. For several months, the disease has spread to more than 210 countries of the world. On March 11, WHO declared a coronavirus pandemic.
