Russian Ambassador to Germany Sergei Nechaev said that only the Ukrainian government is to blame for the lack of implementation of the decisions of the Normandy Four summit. The diplomat expressed his position in an article he wrote for the Berliner Zeitung.
Nechaev called on the authorities of Germany and France to react to the actions of Kiev and force the Ukrainians to fulfill the agreements that were reached a year ago.
The Russian ambassador pointed out that the Ukrainian government still refuses direct dialogue with the politicians of Donbass. The country’s legislation has not yet enshrined the special status of the territories of the DPR and LPR. The diplomat stressed that without the implementation of these agreements, the entire process of the conflict settlement will be at an impasse.
