Since Saturday, November 7, Moscow has banned cars from driving on dedicated lanes throughout the week. Travel on them is allowed only for urban transport, taxis, emergency and utilities, as well as for cyclists, according to the Telegram channel of the Moscow Department of Transport.
Earlier, the department explained that such a measure would reduce the waiting time for public transport, which will now be able to go without delay. In addition, the uniform operating mode of the dedicated lanes will help eliminate confusion and avoid accidental fines for motorists.
The department added that the Probok.net expert center, as well as the council on taxi transportation at the TAMA association, which includes more than 40 companies, requested a ban on driving on leased lines, regardless of the day of the week.
The fine for driving out to the leased line for motorists will be 3 thousand rubles.
In Moscow, some of the allocated lanes were previously prohibited for motorists to travel all the time, while the other part could be driven out on weekends. Since April last year, a permanent ban on leaving the dedicated line was introduced on Leninsky Prospekt, on the section from Prospekt Mira to Yaroslavskoye Highway, on Mozhaisk Highway, Vozdvizhenka Street, Kutuzovsky, Nakhimovsky and Lomonosovsky Avenues, Minsk Street, as well as on the section from Nizhegorodskaya Street to Ryazansky prospectus.
On October 26 it became known that in Moscow they began to follow more closely the “obochechniki”. Now parkons – mobile complexes for photo and video recording of violations will be fined for driving on the side of the Moscow Ring Road. The fine is 1,500 rubles, but not everyone will receive it.
