According to official data from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the number of patients with Covid-19 in Kalmykia is decreasing.
So, on September 11, 91 new cases were recorded, on September 14 – 73, on the 15th – 37, on the 16th – 92, yesterday – 56, and today 45.
According to Minister Yuri Kikenov and the chief sanitary doctor of the republic, Dzhangar Sandzhiev, the 5681st case of coronavirus infection has been registered to date.
556 patients are treated in Kalmyk hospitals, eight of whom are severe, seven are on mechanical ventilation. 16 people were discharged with recovery.
On the eve of the City Day and holiday festivals, forums and sports tournaments, which the organizers present as not intended for mass spectators, the authorities of the republic do not provide actual data on the number of people dying from infection.
So, the number of deaths from the coronavirus since September 11 remains the same – 65, although people still die. So yesterday, a well-known person in the republic who was involved in the development of tourism and the protection of cultural heritage objects did not become known. And his covid did not spare …
It turns out that the republic lives in two parallels, as it were. One part is suffering in infectious diseases hospitals and independently treated at home (without medication and care), the second is preparing for the holiday without extras.
Probably, they are waiting for the curator of the republic – Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kobylkin and his deputy Sergei Yastrebov, who were awarded the title of honorary citizens of Kalmykia by the decree of the head of the Republic of Kazakhstan Batu Khasikov yesterday.
But let’s leave festive events alone. Agree that we, living in a pandemic, are occupied with completely different, mundane thoughts. How, for example, to get through to the infectious diseases departments of the republican hospital named after P.P. Zhemchuev to inquire about the condition of a loved one connected to the ventilator, or what to transfer to him from things and what to feed.
