The day before, a single voting day ended in Russia, polling stations in the Kaliningrad region, where local elections were held, were the last to be closed at 21:00 Moscow time. This year, the single day of voting was preceded by two days of early voting to avoid crowding of citizens at the polling stations.

Elections of various levels this year were held in 83 regions with the exception of Kabardino-Balkaria and St. Petersburg.

Ella Pamfilova, Chairperson of the Central Election Commission of Russia (CEC), said that practically no violations were recorded during the September 11-13 voting.

In turn, the head of the Ministry of Digital Science Maksut Shadayev said that the electronic voting in the by-election to the State Duma passed without significant failures. According to him, there was literally a single appeal about the use of an old browser.
