Within the framework of the project “My District” in the Central Administrative District of the capital, many areas for recreation of townspeople were equipped and landscaped, reported on Sunday, September 13, on the website of the Mayor of Moscow.
So, until 2019, the space near the Polytechnic Museum on Lubyanka was hidden behind a high fence and banners. The square in front of the building was reconstructed into an original park with two levels.
The upper level is designed in the form of pedestrian paths associated with the entrances to the museum. At the bottom there are walking galleries. In addition, 62 trees and 1105 shrubs were planted in the park.
Also, the Moscow authorities have updated the Talalikhin square. It was equipped in memory of the outstanding pilot and hero of the Great Patriotic War Viktor Talalikhin. Another square has been transformed into Bolshoy Fakelny Lane.
In 2019, the embankments of Zamoskvorechye – Ovchinnikovskaya and Ozerkovskaya were landscaped, significantly increasing the walking area and equipping recreation areas. In particular, more than 450 benches in different designs were installed on the embankments: there are park chairs, sofas under awnings, high chairs, sun loungers, stand-stands.
On January 27, it was reported that in Moscow in 2019, over 2,500 yards were landscaped. According to the Deputy Head of the Moscow Department of Territorial Executive Bodies Dmitry Presnov, as part of the improvement programs, new benches, lanterns, flower beds and bicycle parking were installed – in total, about 75 thousand modern urban design items. He noted that users of the portal “Active citizen”.
