The Investigative Committee of Belarus has asked the citizens of the country to assist in the search for coordinators of the actions of participants in the riots. This was announced on Thursday, August 13, by the BelTA agency, citing representatives of the department.
“In the course of studying the recordings from CCTV cameras, the investigators came to the conclusion that the coordinators professionally organized the crowd and called on citizens to take action,” the UK noted.
The agency also added that “there were provocateurs in the crowd who incited the participants to violence against the employees of the internal affairs bodies, thus provoking the adoption of forceful measures, and during such actions they were leaving the places of clashes between citizens and riot police officers.”
In this regard, the UK turned to eyewitnesses with a request to provide video recordings and photographs of these persons, as well as inform the department in case of possessing important information.
“Only together we will be able to stop the riots, ensure the safety of everyone and restore peace in our native country,” the UK concluded.
