Jennifer Knox, the owner of The Sand bar on Tybee Island in Georgia, recently revealed how an old tradition allowed her to help her former employees fired in the wake of the pandemic and the bar’s closure, at least a little.
When he worked, according to this tradition, bar visitors wrote their names or other messages on dollar bills and attached them to the walls of the bar. And so it went on for 15 years. According to Knox, after closing, she was sitting in an empty bar and thinking about how to help her unemployed employees, and suddenly it dawned on her that she had money on the walls. It took three days to remove them from the walls and count them. It turned out that the bar had $ 3,714 attached, which she had distributed to former employees. And the regular customers of her establishment, having learned about this, began to donate money, as a result of which the total amount was more than four thousand dollars.
