In Kaluga, Voskresenskaya Street is planned to be planted with apple trees. Thus, social activists plan to restore the previously lost trees of the historic street, deputy Yakov Kazatsky said on Thursday, April 29 on Facebook.
“A year ago, we planned to restore the lost trees on Voskresenskaya Street, for which we held a large event with representatives of the landscape community. We chose places and varieties, but the pandemic has shifted our plans a little. Now that vaccination is on the march, and life is gradually returning to its usual course, it’s time to implement the idea, “said Kazatsky.
For landing, together with specialists, 30 seats were selected. These are places all over Voskresenskaya Street. A specially selected variety of ornamental apple trees – Apple Hopa. It is these apple trees that bloom very beautifully in spring.
Mass planting of trees will take place on May 16th.
Voskresenskaya Street is actually the only one in the city that is not affected by modern buildings. It is often called a nature reserve. All buildings keep almost 400 years of history. The street originates behind the Palace of Celebrations – the former Terenenin estate and includes 34 buildings. Each house keeps its own legend.
