The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Maria Zakharova, speaking at a meeting of the UN Committee on Information in the mode of video communication, urged not to allow “dirty political games” on the issue of vaccination against coronavirus infection.

“Without a doubt, this area should not become a field of political games and unfair information policy, especially disinformation … There is no place for politicization and dirty political games in this issue,” she said.

In her opinion, it is necessary for the vaccination sector to avoid “no rules fighting between vaccine-producing countries.”

“Comprehensive coverage of the efforts of the UN and its agencies to provide assistance to the least developed countries in this area is also the subject of special efforts both by the organization itself and by its member countries,” the Foreign Ministry spokeswoman added.
